Kathrin Ess is a (copy)writer and painter, a poet, illustrator and singer. She lives and works in Berlin.

Kathrin is fascinated by the magic and absurdity in this world, but also by the pain that lives within. Her pictures and texts are shaped by this contrast, combining the colorful and dreamy, melancholic and disturbing, mixing observations of human interaction with ruthless self-reflection.

Currently, Kathrin is looking for a publisher for her novel „The Product“. She is working on illustrations for a children’s book and new paintings.
